EHF 4th anniversary
17 March 2021
On the 17th of March, we gathered with Fellows, supporters, team, board, friends and more, to share space and celebrate three significant milestones for the Edmund Hillary Fellowship:
We celebrated the 4 years and a little bit birthday of EHF!
We bid farewell to Anake Goodall and Catlin Powers as they hand the rākau (branch) mānuka over to Paul Atkins as the new Chair for both the EHF and the Hillary Institute boards.
And we bid farewell to EHF co-founder and CEO Yoseph Ayele, as he hands the rākau manuka over to Rosalie Nelson as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Edmund Hillary Fellowship.
Three significant milestones for an organisation that has achieved so much in such a short space of time and three wero/challenges laid before those who have stepped in to nurture and grow this kaupapa (purpose).
On the evening, a rākau mānuka (mānuka branch) was physically handed to both Paul and Rosalie by their predecessors. The handing over of this rākau is symbolic of the energetic passing of leadership. It is a wero, a challenge, to uphold the mana or prestige of the role.
The rākau mānuka symbolises life-giving energy and the strength that holds the houses together.
Video created by Kaboose Media. Who also set up a live connection via Zoom with Fellows & friends that were not able to be there in person.
